Aude Aliquid Dignum – Dare Something Worthy
The mission of GAPCI is to promote healthy and supportive environments that empower the residents of underserved areas so that they can be in control of their own health using their own innate capabilities. Thus, they can be protected from all hazards including biological, physical, chemical, psychosocial hazards, as well as unhealthy lifestyles.
In the short term, towards Health and Safety For All (HSFA), GAPCI (Global Applied Prevention Center Inc) is joining forces with 1) PIP2 (Partners In Primordial Prevention), 2) CHWs (Community Health Workers), and 3) WHSWs (Workplace Health and Safety Workers) to prevent NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) in the Global North / South and CDs (Communicable Diseases) in the Global South among the undeserved communities and workplaces. Dr. Brian Reuben explains that “Aude Aliquid Dignum” is a Latin phrase from the 16th century meaning “Dare Something Worthy”. According to him, daring something worthy is essential for addressing societal problems, fostering a sense of responsibility, and striving to alleviate the pains of others, which is when one truly begins to live.
